Lymphoma Symptoms: 10 Warning Signs of Lymphoma Part 1 (1-5)

1. Swelling

Severe swelling in the face, chest, and neck can occur if a lymphoma of the neck or chest develops into a large growth and blocks the flow of blood vessels to the area affected.

2. Lumps

Enlarged lymph nodes or lumps that are painless to the touch can often be found in the neck, under the armpits, or in the groin to indicate a lymphoma. If you discover a lump on your body while changing or showering, see a doctor to have it checked out as soon as possible.

3. Pain

Just as some lymphomas have no pain associated with them; others, particularly if they affect an organ such as the stomach, brain or an intestine, can cause pain in the affected area. For example, lymphoma of the brain may cause migraine headaches.

4. Weight Loss

Weight loss usually occurs rapidly for no known reason. Often an individual can lose ten to fifteen pounds over a couple of months.

5. Lingering Fever

Fever and swollen lymph nodes that return intermittently over a long period of time and isn’t related to a cold, flu, or illness is worthy of attention from a medical professional.
