Science proves the perfect night’s sleep

After what seems like the longest and coldest winter EVER, the clocks are finally going forward to summer time on the 31 March.

However, there is one drawback. Yes, the nation will be discussing their amazement at it suddenly being ‘so light at 6pm’, but we are also bound to have a moan about our newly disrupted sleeping patterns.

Luckily, Dr Craig Hudson, who has more than 10 years’ experience in sleep disorders, has come up with a solution for the perfect night’s sleep. He has developed the ‘BED’ equation based on clinical trials that charted the behavioural, environmental and dietary factors that impact on quality of sleep. The formula then produced a ‘sleep score’ out of 10.
